Tokenized equities on BNB Smart Chain hit $500M in assets and $14.7B in monthly volume as global traders reject Wall Street's 6.5-hour window
When the closing bell rings on the New York Stock Exchange, most of the world is still wide awake. Binance’s tokenized equities product, bStocks, is proving that point with real money: 62% of its July trading volume happened while US markets were dark.
That means the majority of people trading tokenized versions of American stocks and ETFs are doing it during hours when traditional brokerages won’t even pick up the phone.
From zero to $500M in six weeks
bStocks launched on June 11, 2026, offering BEP-20 tokens on BNB Smart Chain that represent 1:1 claims on select US-listed equities and ETFs. Each token is backed by actual shares held at a regulated custodian, with instant on-chain settlement and zero conversion fees.
The growth trajectory has been aggressive. Assets under management climbed from $5.6 million on day one to over $100 million within 15 days. By late July, AUM had surpassed $500 million.
Monthly trading volumes tell a similar story. July alone saw approximately $14.7 billion in bStocks trading volume.
One product dominates the mix. QQQB, a tokenized version of the Nasdaq-100 ETF, regularly accounts for over 90% of all bStocks activity.

The 80% problem
US equity markets are open from 9:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. ET, Monday through Friday. That’s 32.5 hours per week out of 168 total. Traditional stock trading is available roughly 19% of the time, leaving about 80% of each week in a liquidity vacuum.
bStocks essentially fills that gap. The 62% off-hours figure from July suggests that demand for after-hours equity exposure isn’t a niche curiosity. It’s the majority use case.
Perhaps more telling: bStocks weekend prices captured a median 92% of the subsequent Monday move in the underlying stocks. In other words, the tokenized market was pricing in weekend developments almost as accurately as the official Monday open.
Wall Street’s slow walk toward longer hours
While traditional exchanges debate moving to a 23/5 trading schedule, Binance already operates a 24/7 infrastructure that demonstrably captures meaningful volume during every hour Wall Street leaves on the table.
bStocks tokens are issued by BTech Holdings Ltd., and users are trusting that the custodial backing remains intact. The regulatory status of tokenized securities varies wildly across jurisdictions, and Binance’s own complicated history with regulators adds a layer of counterparty risk that doesn’t exist when buying shares through a licensed broker-dealer.
For traders in Asian time zones, who appear to be driving a significant chunk of the off-hours volume, bStocks represents something that didn’t exist before: real-time exposure to US equities during their working day, settled on infrastructure they already understand. The 62% figure quantifies how much latent demand the traditional market structure has been leaving unserved.
