Bitmine adds 15,112 ETH as treasury passes 6 million tokens
Bitmine Immersion Technologies said Monday that its ether holdings have surpassed 6 million tokens, bringing the company within striking distance of its goal of owning 5% of the cryptocurrency’s total supply.
The company held 6,016,414 ETH as of Oct. 4, valued at roughly $16.4 billion based on an ether price of $2,726. That represents about 4.9% of Ethereum’s estimated 122.1 million token supply.
Bitmine added 15,112 ETH over the past week. Chairman Tom Lee said the company has purchased ether every week since launching its treasury strategy on June 30, 2025.
The latest purchases leave Bitmine about 89,000 ETH short of the 6.1 million tokens needed to reach 5% of the current supply, putting it roughly 99% of the way toward what the company calls its “Alchemy of 5%” target.
Bitmine said its total crypto, cash, marketable securities and other investments are now worth $17.4 billion. Alongside its ether position, the company holds 214 bitcoin, $643 million in cash and marketable securities, a $180 million stake in Beast Industries and a $117 million position in Eightco Holdings.

Most of Bitmine’s ether is already generating staking rewards. The company said 5.07 million ETH, or about 84% of its holdings, is currently staked and worth approximately $13.8 billion.
Bitmine projected annualized staking revenue of about $363 million based on a seven-day yield of 2.63%. If its entire ether treasury were eventually staked through its MAVAN platform and other partners, the company estimates annual staking rewards could reach roughly $431 million.
The company launched MAVAN, or Made in America Validator Network, earlier this year as an institutional staking platform originally designed to support its own treasury. Bitmine has since expanded the service to institutional investors, custodians and other ecosystem participants.
Bitmine also highlighted its equity performance relative to ether. Lee said ETH fell about 10% during the first nine months of 2026 while BMNR shares declined around 3%, which he attributed partly to actions including the repurchase of 21 million shares during the year.
The company remains the largest publicly disclosed ether treasury and the second-largest corporate crypto treasury overall behind Strategy, according to Bitmine.
