BNB Agent Studio adds Altana Network as wallet option for AI agents
The setup is designed for automated onchain strategies such as yield management, lending and liquidity-position rebalancing.
BNB Agent Studio has integrated Altana as a wallet option for builders creating autonomous onchain agents, adding programmable controls over what those agents can do with funds, according to a Tuesday statement.
Altana, formerly Functor Network, uses Smart Agentic Wallets to let agents transact without giving them direct access to private keys. Instead, agents operate through scoped session keys with predefined spending limits, contract allowlists and time bounds.
The permissions are recorded and enforced onchain, making an agent’s authority publicly verifiable rather than dependent on an offchain configuration or trusted operator, the team stated.
Builders retain control of the underlying keys, while agents can execute transactions across open protocols within the limits assigned to them. Those permissions can also be revoked immediately without requiring key rotation or moving funds.

The model is designed for automated DeFi tasks such as harvesting and restaking yield, maintaining lending collateral ratios and continuously rebalancing liquidity positions.
Agents can interact with open protocols while remaining within predetermined boundaries, and the underlying funds never enter the agent’s custody. Altana also supports b402, enabling autonomous agents to make payments while carrying out their assigned tasks.
