BNB Standard Corporation rebrands from CEA Industries after community vote
Nearly 5,800 votes on X decided the new name for what claims to be the world's largest corporate BNB treasury holder
CEA Industries is no more. The Nasdaq-listed company has officially rebranded to BNB Standard Corporation after putting its corporate identity up to a public vote on X.
The name change takes effect September 29, 2026, with the company’s ticker symbol remaining BNC on the Nasdaq Capital Market. Of the 5,799 advisory votes cast, “BNB Standard” pulled roughly 47% of the total, enough to win what was apparently a multi-option poll for the company’s future identity.
From controlled environment agriculture to crypto treasury
CEA Industries pivoted hard into the BNB ecosystem after executing a $500 million private placement in 2025, a move designed to build what it now calls the world’s largest corporate BNB treasury. That treasury reportedly exceeds 515,000 BNB.
Interim President Alex Odagiu framed the new name as aspirational rather than merely descriptive.
“BNB Standard says what we aim to be: a benchmark for how a public company manages a BNB treasury, with discipline and transparency.”
The community vote experiment
Nearly 5,800 people weighed in on what a Nasdaq-listed company should call itself, and the company actually followed through on the result. The votes were advisory, cast on X rather than through any binding shareholder mechanism.

It’s also worth noting that 47% is a plurality, not a majority. More than half the voters preferred something other than “BNB Standard,” which makes the outcome a bit more nuanced than a resounding community mandate.
The corporate BNB treasury thesis
BNB is the native token of the BNB Chain ecosystem and is closely associated with Binance, the world’s largest crypto exchange by trading volume. For investors buying BNC shares on Nasdaq, the stock essentially functions as a proxy for BNB exposure within a traditional brokerage account, without the need to custody tokens directly.
The $500 million private placement that funded this accumulation strategy was itself a significant capital raise. The research notes it was led by YZi Labs as a private investment in public equity (PIPE), enabling the company to pivot towards holding BNB as its principal treasury reserve asset.
