Liverpool’s 2026-27 season has been defined by one word so far: draws. Sitting in eighth place with three stalemates from their opening four matches, Andoni Iraola’s side travels to the Vitality Stadium on September 20 to face a Bournemouth team equally desperate for a result, albeit for different reasons.
Kickoff is set for 2pm BST, with Sky Sports Main Event carrying the broadcast in the UK. For those stateside, that’s a 9am ET start.
Two teams, one shared problem
Bournemouth enter Gameweek 5 still searching for their first league win under new management. They’ve been camped in the mid-to-lower reaches of the table, and their home ground, the Vitality Stadium with its roughly 11,300 capacity, is recognized as the smallest ground in the Premier League.
Both managers are also dealing with depleted squads. Liverpool will be without Hugo Ekitike, Giovanni Leoni, Conor Bradley, and Federico Chiesa.

Bournemouth’s absentee list is similarly painful. Julián Araujo, Eli Junior Kroupi, Amine Adli, and Veljko Milosavljevic are all ruled out.
What the betting markets say
Despite their stuttering start, Liverpool are slight favorites in the betting markets. Predictions are leaning toward a high-scoring contest, with recent form trends suggesting neither defense has been particularly stingy.
