Eight ventures begin a 10-week sprint focused on verifiable data, identity and traceability on Cardano

The Cardano Foundation has opened another round of its startup school. The Fall 2026 cohort of the Cardano Accelerator Program (CAP) kicked off with an in-person event in Dublin in early November 2026.

Eight ventures made the cut. They now head into a 10-week program built around one idea: proving that data, identities and physical goods are what they claim to be.

The cohort’s official theme is “Real-World Trust: Verifying Origins and Data on Cardano.”

What the Fall 2026 cohort looks like

Each of the eight ventures receives a contribution of CHF 10,000 to support its work.

The real value, according to the program’s design, comes from structure. CAP pairs early-stage teams with mentorship and resources from the Cardano Foundation, rather than simply handing over cash and wishing them luck.

The cohort is split into two tracks: Core and Spotlight. Both sit under the same umbrella theme, but they give the program room to support ventures at different stages or with different focuses.

The ventures are working across four main areas:

  • Digital product passports, which are digital records meant to travel with a product and document where it came from.
  • Supply-chain traceability, tracking goods as they move from origin to shelf.
  • Verified identity, confirming that a person or entity is who they say they are.
  • Responsible AI and oracle technologies, covering the systems that feed outside information onto a blockchain.

The timeline is tight. After the November kick-off, the cohort runs through a 10-week schedule that culminates in a Demo Day set for early February 2027.

Demo Day is where the ventures present what they built to potential investors and stakeholders.

How the cohort came together

The selection process stretched across most of 2026. Applications opened in May, with a deadline in June.

The Foundation announced the selected ventures in September. That left a couple of months between selection and the Dublin kick-off.

CAP operates through the Cardano Foundation’s Venture Hub. The hub’s stated mission is supporting commercially viable projects within the Cardano ecosystem.

Earlier CAP cohorts explored similar ground. The Fall 2026 edition, however, leans harder into regulatory compliance, particularly requirements such as those the EU mandates for digital product passports.
