The internet infrastructure company posted 39% growth and raised its outlook for the rest of 2026
Cloudflare shares surged more than 17% in after hours trading Thursday after the cloud infrastructure company reported third quarter revenue of $782.5 million, up 39% from a year earlier and well above Wall Street expectations.
The company reported adjusted earnings of $0.38 per share, compared with analyst estimates of approximately $0.34, according to MarketBeat. Revenue exceeded expectations of roughly $737 million by more than $45 million.
Cloudflare said the results marked its fastest revenue growth in nearly four years, as demand for its cloud infrastructure, cybersecurity and AI development services continued to expand.
“The third quarter was Cloudflare’s best quarter ever,” said Matthew Prince, the company’s cofounder and CEO, adding that the company had surpassed $3 billion in annualized revenue.
The company reported adjusted operating income of $137.1 million, up from $85.9 million a year earlier, with its adjusted operating margin expanding to 17.5% from 15.3%.
However, its GAAP net loss widened to $34.1 million from $1.3 million in the same period last year. Its GAAP operating loss also increased to $67.9 million from $37.5 million.

Cloudflare’s current remaining performance obligations, a measure of contracted revenue expected to be recognized within the next 12 months, increased 37% from a year earlier.
The company also raised its financial outlook, projecting fourth quarter revenue between $845 million and $846 million, with adjusted earnings of $0.43 per share.
For the full year, Cloudflare now expects revenue between $2.963 billion and $2.964 billion, alongside adjusted earnings of $1.35 per share.
The results came amid a sharp technology stock selloff Thursday, which saw the Nasdaq Composite tumble nearly 5% as semiconductor and AI infrastructure companies suffered heavy losses.
Cloudflare itself had declined during regular trading alongside other cybersecurity stocks before rebounding sharply following its earnings release.
