The index rose from 36 a month ago and 41 a week earlier, marking a 45-point increase in 30 days. The reading is above the 80 threshold that signals aggressive buying and strong bullish conviction.

The shift accompanied a roughly 24% weekly gain for Bitcoin, which outpaced the broader crypto market. The index had fallen as low as 5 in February, showing the scale of the change in sentiment.

The rally also followed a US Treasury announcement that it would double long-term bond buybacks from $2 billion to $4 billion per operation. More than $4 billion in crypto short positions were liquidated as Bitcoin moved above $70,000, while Bitcoin and Ethereum ETFs attracted about $2.3 billion in combined assets.
