Deutsche Bank expands AI adoption with Google Cloud service
The bank helped develop Gemini Enterprise for Financial Services, which can automate credit-risk and portfolio-monitoring tasks.
Deutsche Bank is expanding its use of artificial intelligence through Google Cloud’s Gemini Enterprise for Financial Services, Bloomberg reported.
The service uses AI agents to automate tasks including credit-risk assessment and portfolio monitoring. Deutsche Bank had early access and helped design a key part of the product, which was announced Tuesday.
The bank’s corporate division plans to deploy the tool more widely in the fourth quarter. Chief Information Officer Joanne Hannaford said AI has already supported growth in the unit’s loan book and improved its risk profile.
Hannaford said the technology could help client-service and coverage teams better assess the effects of macroeconomic developments, while Google is positioning finance as a strategic industry for AI adoption.
