Ema raises $77M to expand AI-driven enterprise automation
The startup founded by a former Coinbase executive has now raised $140 million at a valuation near $800 million, with Google and Microsoft among its customers.
Ema, the enterprise AI startup that builds autonomous agents to handle complex business workflows, has closed a new funding round of approximately $80 million. The deal values the company at roughly $800 million, representing a two-to-three-times jump from its previous valuation rounds in 2024.
With this latest raise, Ema has now accumulated around $140 million in total funding since its founding in 2023. The round was led by Creaegis, and it comes as the enterprise AI market enters a phase where investor appetite for “agentic AI” companies, those building systems that can independently execute multi-step tasks, is running particularly hot.
From stealth to $800M in about two years
Ema’s trajectory has been steep, even by Silicon Valley standards. The Mountain View, California-based company emerged from stealth in March 2024 with a $25 million raise. By July 2024, it had added another $36 million, bringing its total to $61 million at that point.
The company has accumulated more than 50 enterprise customers, a list that includes ADP, Wipro, and PwC.

The tech under the hood
Ema’s core product centers on what it calls “EmaFusion,” an orchestration layer that coordinates more than 40 large language models to handle enterprise tasks. On top of that sits a Generative Workflow Engine designed for end-to-end automation across HR, finance, customer support, and other business functions. The platform integrates with over 200 enterprise applications and systems.
For companies wary of sending sensitive data to external servers, Ema also offers on-premises deployment options through Azure and Google Cloud frameworks.
