Flap overtakes Pump.fun in daily revenue with $1.18M, marking a shift in the memecoin launchpad wars
The BNB Chain-based memecoin platform edged out Solana's dominant launchpad in 24-hour protocol revenue, according to DefiLlama data.
For the first time, Pump.fun isn’t the top dog in daily memecoin launchpad revenue. Flap, a multi-chain platform built initially on BNB Chain, pulled in roughly $1.18 million in 24-hour protocol revenue, narrowly beating Pump.fun’s $1.13 million, according to DefiLlama.
How Flap closed the gap
Flap launched around June 2024 with a focus on BNB Chain and has since expanded to other networks including X Layer and Robinhood Chain. Its core appeal lies in two mechanics that differentiate it from the standard bonding-curve launchpad model: Player vs. Player duel functionality and activation thresholds set notably low, with duel matches kicking in at market caps as small as $24K.
Pump.fun, for context, has generated over $1 billion in cumulative revenue since launching on January 19, 2024. That’s a staggering figure for a platform that essentially lets anyone create a token in seconds. Flap’s single-day win doesn’t erase that kind of lead.
Pump.fun isn’t standing still
Pump.fun now operates PumpSwap, its own automated market maker, which keeps liquidity and trading fees within its ecosystem rather than routing them to third-party DEXs.
Pump.fun has also rolled out a creator revenue-sharing model that allocates 50% of transaction fees to the creators involved in token launches.
Flap isn’t the only challenger that’s drawn blood. Back in July 2025, another platform called LetsBonk briefly flipped Pump.fun in 24-hour revenue, pulling in $1.04 million against Pump.fun’s $533K on that particular day.
What this means for investors
For traders actively participating in memecoin launches, the practical takeaway is that platform choice now matters more than it did six months ago. A BNB Chain-native platform like Flap will naturally attract different capital flows than a Solana-native platform like Pump.fun.
Daily revenue in the memecoin launchpad space is extraordinarily volatile because it tracks speculative activity that can evaporate overnight. A $1.18 million day for Flap doesn’t guarantee a $500K day tomorrow. The more durable metric to track is whether Flap can sustain multi-day streaks above $1 million. Pump.fun’s $1 billion cumulative revenue wasn’t built on one good day — it was built on consistent, grinding throughput across hundreds of thousands of token launches over more than a year.
