FT joins Bilibili Gaming main roster for the first time
Valorant player Yan Shuaibo earns promotion from academy team XLB to Bilibili Gaming's senior competitive squad
Bilibili Gaming has promoted FT, known by his real name Yan Shuaibo, from its academy roster to the organization’s main Valorant squad. It marks the first time FT will compete at the senior level for one of China’s most prominent esports organizations.
The move was announced on June 30, 2026, through official Valorant Champions Tour channels, positioning FT as part of the team heading into VCT China 2026 Stage 2.
## From academy grind to main stage
FT’s previous team, XLB (Bilibili Gaming’s development squad), secured a victory in the Rest of SEA regional event before FT’s promotion was finalized.
The promotion wasn’t the only personnel change Bilibili Gaming made during this window. Coach Anaks also returned to China around the same time.
## Bilibili Gaming’s competitive footprint
Bilibili Gaming operates across multiple esports titles, with active rosters in both Valorant and League of Legends. The organization is backed by Bilibili, the Chinese video-sharing platform often compared to YouTube, which gives it substantial institutional support and visibility within the Chinese gaming ecosystem.
