Missing figures stay unavailable. Forward P/E requires a dated source. Annual revenue, revenue growth, net income and margin come from each company's own 10-K, in US dollars, and each row shows that fiscal year. Revenue growth compares the fiscal year with the prior year stated in the same 10-K. Net income is the full year amount attributable to the company, or available to common stockholders where the filing states only that, or consolidated net income. Each row names its basis. Trailing P/E reads "Not meaningful" when the dated trailing diluted EPS is a loss or zero. An operating margin appears only when the filing states both the operating income and the revenue for the same year.

Sources: SEC filings, Gloria daily closes and CoinGecko. Oldest record refresh: Oct 27, 2026, 8:48 PM EDT. Refresh is not a price or filing date. Each row shows its price date and its annual fiscal period. Peers use industry code and company size, or editorial selection. Market cap multiplies that row price by the company share total the latest SEC filing states for every share class together. Trailing P/E divides it by trailing diluted earnings from SEC filings. Rolled earnings per share are approximate because share counts can change between periods. Both appear only when the SEC data carries its date, so they are estimates at one price date, not synchronized filing valuations. Not investment advice.

Google’s AI Mode is no longer content just answering your travel questions. It wants to book the hotel room too.

The company is conducting a limited rollout of agentic hotel booking features in the United States, allowing users to compare options, select preferences, and complete reservations entirely within the AI interface. Partners include Booking.com, Expedia, Marriott, and IHG, meaning the inventory behind this experiment is anything but thin.

From itineraries to transactions

This didn’t happen overnight. Google laid the groundwork back in November 2025 when it introduced Canvas, a feature that lets AI Mode generate customized travel itineraries. Think of it as going from a search engine that shows you ten blue links about “best hotels in Lisbon” to one that builds your entire trip schedule, complete with restaurant suggestions and day-by-day plans.

The agentic booking layer is the logical next step. Rather than handing users off to a partner site to fumble through a separate checkout flow, Google’s AI can now walk through the entire reservation process inside the same conversation. Users describe what they want, the Gemini model executes multi-step planning tasks, and the booking finalizes without a single tab switch.

Google has also expanded its conversational Flight Deals feature to over 200 countries globally. Paired with Ask Maps, which enhances hotel searches and price tracking, the company is stitching together an end-to-end travel planning layer that sits on top of its existing search infrastructure.

One important distinction: Google will not serve as the merchant of record. Partners handle payments and transaction confirmations.

What this means for the travel industry

The online travel agency business has operated on a fairly stable model for two decades. Users search, click through to Booking.com or Expedia, browse listings, and book. Google has always been the top of that funnel, collecting ad revenue while sending traffic downstream. Now it’s collapsing the funnel.

If users can book a Marriott room through a Google AI conversation without ever visiting Marriott.com or Expedia.com, the traffic dynamics shift dramatically. OTAs have long paid Google for search ads to capture travel intent. In this new model, Google captures the intent and the conversion, potentially relegating OTAs to backend fulfillment partners rather than consumer-facing brands.

By keeping partners as the merchant of record, Google avoids the regulatory and operational burden of handling refunds, cancellations, and customer service disputes. It also gives partners a reason to participate rather than resist.

The broader AI agent race

Travel is a natural testing ground because it involves complex, multi-step decisions with clear transactional endpoints. Booking a trip requires comparing dates, prices, locations, amenities, and cancellation policies across dozens of options. That kind of structured decision-making is exactly where large language models paired with tool-use capabilities can outperform a human clicking through tabs.

Google’s advantage is distribution. AI Mode lives inside Google Search, which handles the vast majority of web queries globally. Any user who searches for “hotels near Times Square” could be funneled into this agentic booking flow. No app download required, no new account to create.

For now, the limited US testing phase suggests Google is proceeding cautiously. But the direction is clear: Google wants to own the full travel journey from inspiration to confirmation email, and it’s building the infrastructure to do exactly that.
