HIVE Digital Technologies partners with ProCogia for AI expansion across Canada, US, and Europe
The former Bitcoin miner's latest deal deepens its pivot toward sovereign AI infrastructure, building on hundreds of millions in GPU contracts
HIVE Digital Technologies just made another move that puts more distance between itself and its crypto mining roots. The company’s subsidiary, BUZZ High Performance Computing Inc., has entered a strategic partnership with Vancouver-based AI consultancy ProCogia to deliver sovereign AI infrastructure to enterprise and SMB clients across three continents.
The collaboration, announced on September 16, 2026, pairs BUZZ HPC’s GPU resources with ProCogia’s applied-AI technologies, including its ZeroBoxx framework, large language model hosting, custom model training, and purpose-built agentic solutions. Two of those solutions, CallYeah for healthcare and PolyKode for code migration, will run on top of BUZZ HPC’s compute layer.
From mining rigs to GPU racks
A three-year agreement with Bell AI Fabric, valued at roughly $220 million, centers on supplying 2,304 NVIDIA Grace Blackwell GPUs to Cohere Inc. On top of that, a separate five-year deal worth approximately $350 million adds around $70 million in annual recurring revenue.
The ProCogia partnership layers consulting and applied-AI capabilities on top of this growing hardware foundation. ProCogia itself went through a reinvention, rebranding as ProCogia 2.0 in May 2026 to signal its shift toward an AI-first model.

The sovereign AI play
Frank Holmes, HIVE’s Executive Chairman, has pointed to Canada’s national strategy, which includes a $50 billion initiative aimed at expanding the country’s AI data center capabilities.
Scaling to 850 megawatts
HIVE’s infrastructure ambitions extend well beyond current capacity. The company has laid out plans to reach 850 MW of sovereign compute capacity by 2030. The centerpiece of that expansion is a 320 MW AI gigafactory planned for the Greater Toronto Area. The facility is projected to house over 100,000 GPUs and aims to reach operational status in the second half of 2027.
