TSG 1899 Hoffenheim has reached an agreement to sign 20-year-old Danish winger Adam Daghim from FC Red Bull Salzburg in a deal worth approximately €14 million, with performance-related bonuses that could push the total figure higher. The contract is expected to run until 2031, and the player is set to undergo a medical examination in early August 2026.

Hoffenheim is paying nearly double Daghim’s estimated market value of €7.5 million. That’s a nearly five-fold return for Salzburg, which picked up the winger from AGF Aarhus back in August 2023 for roughly €3 million.

The path from Aarhus to the Bundesliga

Born on September 28, 2005, Daghim joined Red Bull Salzburg’s development pipeline three years ago. Salzburg then loaned him to VfL Wolfsburg for the 2025-26 season, giving him direct exposure to the Bundesliga. During that spell, Daghim racked up 27 appearances and scored 2 goals.

Salzburg reportedly valued him near €20 million at one point in 2025, and the Austrian club rejected earlier bids in the €9 million to €12 million range before settling on the current deal structure with Hoffenheim.

Why Hoffenheim is paying the premium

Paying roughly 1.9 times a player’s estimated market value might raise eyebrows, but Daghim is a winger with Bundesliga experience who won’t turn 21 until later this year. The contract runs through 2031, giving the club five years to extract value, whether through on-pitch performance or a future transfer sale.

This signing also marks Daghim’s return to the Bundesliga, where he spent his loan spell with Wolfsburg. His background also includes a loan stint at FC Liefering, part of Salzburg’s operation model for player development, before his move to Wolfsburg.
