Hyperscale Data reports about 220 Bitcoin and $37.4 million in cash

The AI data center company keeps a steady Bitcoin treasury as it shifts away from mining and toward its Michigan buildout

Hyperscale Data holds about 220 Bitcoin worth approximately $19 million, plus about $37.4 million in cash, as of October 4, 2026.

The company, listed on NYSE American under the ticker GPUS, now describes itself as an AI data center business.

The numbers behind the treasury

The October 4 snapshot follows a more detailed update the company issued on September 29. As of September 27, 2026, Hyperscale Data held 219.0652 BTC. At a Bitcoin price of $84,458, that stack was worth roughly $18.5 million.

The same update put cash and restricted cash at approximately $37.5 million. Added together, the company’s Bitcoin and cash came to around $56 million.

That roughly $56 million total equaled about 153% of Hyperscale Data’s market capitalization, based on its closing stock price on September 28. Put plainly, the market was valuing the whole company at less than the Bitcoin and cash sitting in its accounts.

In early September, the company reported about 216.95 BTC, valued at about $16.7 million, alongside about $34.3 million in cash. So between early September and the end of the month, both the coin count and the cash pile ticked up modestly.

From mining rigs to AI racks

Hyperscale Data is moving away from Bitcoin mining and concentrating on AI colocation and hosting services in Michigan.

Executive Chairman Milton “Todd” Ault III has emphasized the importance of the company’s Bitcoin holdings alongside its AI development. That framing treats Bitcoin as a long-term reserve asset rather than a byproduct of mining that gets sold to cover the power bill.

Many miners historically sold mined coins to pay operating costs. Hyperscale Data is exiting mining but keeping the Bitcoin it accumulated, which is closer to the corporate treasury approach than the miner playbook.

What this means for investors and the company

Roughly a third of the September 27 total was in Bitcoin, which means a meaningful slice of the company’s liquidity moves with one of the more volatile assets in finance.

The September valuation used a Bitcoin price of $84,458, and the October 4 snapshot put the holdings at approximately $19 million. Any sharp swing in Bitcoin’s price would change that number quickly, in either direction.

Cash is the steadier half of the equation. At about $37.4 million as of October 4, it represents the larger share of the company’s liquid resources.
