JPMorgan hires David Fishman to lead North America tech M&A
The former Bank of America technology dealmaker will serve as vice chair and join JPMorgan’s new sector leadership council
JPMorgan Chase has hired David Fishman from Bank of America as vice chair and head of its technology mergers and acquisitions business in North America.
Fishman will also join a newly formed technology M&A leadership and advisory council serving the firm’s key clients, according to a memo reviewed by Bloomberg. JPMorgan confirmed the memo’s contents.
Fishman spent more than 15 years at Bank of America, where he most recently co-led technology, media and telecommunications M&A. He previously served as chief strategy officer for the bank’s investment bank.
At JPMorgan, Fishman will report to Chris Grose and Greg Mendelson, the co-heads of technology investment banking, and Charlie Bouckaert, the global head of M&A.

He will reunite with former Bank of America colleague Kevin Brunner, who joined JPMorgan last year as global chair of investment banking and M&A. JPMorgan’s Vineet Seth will also become a vice chair and take a senior role on the technology M&A council.
