Anchorage Digital taps LayerZero for cross-chain stablecoin infrastructure
Tether's USAT is the first stablecoin issued by Anchorage Digital Bank to launch with LayerZero interoperability.
Anchorage Digital is integrating LayerZero into its stablecoin issuance platform to provide cross-chain functionality for assets issued by Anchorage Digital Bank, N.A, according to a Monday announcement.
LayerZero will serve as the bank’s preferred interoperability layer, with its OFT standard used to transfer stablecoins across supported networks.
USAT, the stablecoin issued by Tether through Anchorage Digital Bank, is the first Anchorage-issued asset to launch with LayerZero interoperability. The bank’s platform also supports stablecoins from Western Union, OSL Group and Falcon Finance.
The companies said the integration would address the need for stablecoins that can operate across the multiple blockchain networks used by financial institutions and payment providers.
