FLCm0NESY named top-rated player at Esports World Cup 2026
The 21-year-old AWPer posted a 1.61 rating with zero sub-1.00 maps across the entire CS2 tournament in Paris
Ilya “m0NESY” Osipov didn’t just show up to the Esports World Cup 2026. He showed up and refused to have a single bad map.
The Team Falcons rifler finished as the top-rated player at the CS2 tournament during EWC 2026 in Paris, posting a 1.61 rating and achieving a perfect 100% of maps played with a 1.00-or-above rating.
A dominant performance that still fell short of a trophy
Team Falcons were eliminated in the quarterfinals by Legacy, finishing in the 5th through 8th position bracket and taking home $300,000 from the CS2 event’s $2 million prize pool.
Team Spirit ultimately claimed the CS2 title, defeating FUT Esports in the grand final. Spirit’s own star, Donk, won the HLTV MVP award with a 1.50 rating. That’s an elite number by any standard, but m0NESY’s 1.61 actually surpassed it.
From G2 to Falcons: a career trajectory pointed straight up
m0NESY, born May 1, 2005, made his name as the primary AWPer for G2 Esports before transitioning to Team Falcons in April 2025. Earlier in 2026, m0NESY helped Team Falcons capture their first Major title at IEM Cologne, where he earned his first Major MVP award.

The Esports World Cup’s new chapter in Paris
EWC 2026 represented a significant shift for the event itself. Running from July 6 to August 23, the tournament relocated from its original home in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, to Paris, France, marking the first time the competition was held outside the Kingdom. The move was reportedly driven by security concerns.
The Paris edition utilized the Paris Expo Porte de Versailles as its primary venue and featured 25 tournaments across 24 different game titles. The total prize pool sat at $75 million.
AG.AL won the overall Club Championship, which aggregates performance across multiple game titles to crown a single organizational winner.
