About Artificial Superintelligence Alliance
Artificial Superintelligence Alliance is a decentralized AI-focused blockchain ecosystem created by merging the Fetch.ai, SingularityNET, and CUDOS projects into a single AI coordination and compute layer. The alliance is built on Fetch.ai, which was founded by Humayun Sheikh, Toby Simpson, and Thomas Hain around 2017 to 2018. The Fetch.ai network and FET token launched around 2019, and the formal merger and rebranding as the Artificial Superintelligence Alliance began in 2024 and continued through 2025 and 2026. The project runs on the Fetch.ai blockchain, which uses a Cosmos SDK and Tendermint-style proof-of-stake consensus. ERC-20 representations of FET are available on Ethereum for interoperability. The native token is FET, also called the ASI token within the alliance. It is used to pay fees for on-chain transactions and AI agent operations, to stake and secure the network, and to participate in governance. FET is also the primary medium for coordinating and paying for decentralized AI services and compute, including access to AI agents, large language models, and intercloud compute resources through the CUDOS-based layer. Following additional minting in 2024 to support the conversion of AGIX and OCEAN tokens, the total supply of FET is capped at approximately 2.71 to 2.72 billion tokens.
