About Fidelity Digital Dollar
Fidelity Digital Dollar (FIDD) is a U.S. dollar-pegged stablecoin issued by Fidelity Digital Assets, National Association, a subsidiary of Fidelity Investments. It launched on February 4, 2026, as Fidelity's first stablecoin. FIDD is a token issued on an existing blockchain network rather than a standalone blockchain. It is fully collateralized by cash, U.S. Treasuries, or other liquid assets. Customers can buy and redeem FIDD at one U.S. dollar per unit and use it for digital-dollar payments and transfers across retail, institutional, and advisory accounts on Fidelity's crypto platforms. FIDD is not used for staking or governance. Its supply is fully backed and redeemable rather than fixed at a hard cap, with circulating supply reported in the tens of millions as of early 2026.
