About Figure Heloc
Figure Heloc (ticker: FIGR_HELOC) is a tokenized real-world asset representing exposure to home equity lines of credit originated by Figure Technologies and recorded on the Provenance blockchain. Figure Technologies was founded in 2018 by Mike Cagney, a co-founder of SoFi, and uses Provenance as the system of record for originating, financing, selling, and securitizing its HELOC loans. The Provenance blockchain is a Cosmos-SDK Layer-1 network that uses CometBFT proof-of-stake consensus. It is built around financial-services workflows rather than general-purpose smart contracts. Each FIGR_HELOC token corresponds economically to the unpaid principal balance of the underlying HELOC loans. It is an on-chain representation of the portfolio, not a general-purpose currency, staking token, or governance token. The token is used within capital-markets workflows on Provenance for settlement, financing, trading, and securitization of the underlying home equity credit. The supply of FIGR_HELOC is floating and uncapped. It expands or contracts with the size of Figure's active HELOC book. Public data shows circulating supply on the order of tens of billions of units with no fixed hard cap. FIGR_HELOC gives home equity lending a standardized, transferable on-chain form through the Provenance network.
