About JasmyCoin
JasmyCoin is the native token of Jasmy, a Japanese platform that combines IoT infrastructure with personal-data sovereignty, letting individuals control and monetize their own data. Jasmy was founded in Tokyo in 2016 by former Sony executives Kunitake Ando and Kazumasa Sato, along with early leadership members Masanobu Yoshida and Hiroshi Harada. The token began broader exchange trading in October 2021. JASMY is an ERC-20 token on Ethereum. More recent project materials describe JasmyChain as an additional network layer where JASMY also functions as the native gas token. The token is used to pay for platform services and fees, to facilitate data-related payments and incentives, and to cover on-chain transaction costs. Enterprises pay for access to Jasmy's platform, while individuals can receive rewards for sharing their personal or IoT-generated data through the project's data marketplace model. JASMY has a fixed total supply capped at 50 billion tokens. It is one of the few blockchain-based personal-data platforms to come out of Japan's established technology industry.
