Kaspa (KAS)USD

Kaspa is a proof-of-work cryptocurrency and blockDAG network built for fast transaction ordering and settlement while keeping the security properties of proof-of-work consensus. Yonatan Sompolinsky and other researchers created it, drawing on Sompolinsky's earlier work on the GHOSTDAG protocol. Kaspa's testnet launched in April 2021, and its mainnet went live on November 7, 2021. The core design uses GHOSTDAG, a blockDAG consensus approach that allows multiple blocks to be created and ordered in parallel rather than forcing a single linear chain. The native token is KAS, which is the network's currency and is used to pay transaction fees; the network relies entirely on proof-of-work mining and does not use staking. KAS is primarily used for fast digital payments and value transfer on the network. The total supply of KAS is hard-capped at approximately 28.7 billion coins, following a fixed issuance schedule.
