About Nexus

Nexus is a Layer-1 blockchain built as a distributed zero-knowledge virtual machine and verifiable computation network, designed for exchange infrastructure, verifiable finance, and intelligent markets. The project is developed by Nexus Labs, founded and led by CEO Daniel Marin. The company became publicly visible by 2024, when it announced a Series A funding round. The NEX token and main network launched and listed on exchanges around May 20, 2026, with simultaneous listings on Coinbase, Kraken, Bitget, KuCoin, and MEXC. Nexus uses a zkVM-based consensus model where computations are proven via zero-knowledge proofs and validators participate by staking NEX. The chain is intended to function as a verifiable supercomputer for crypto, AI, and high-frequency finance. NEX is the native token. It is used to pay transaction and smart contract fees, stake to secure the network, pay for verifiable compute, and participate in governance and prover rewards. NEX has a fixed total supply of 100 trillion tokens. Initial distribution is approximately 60 percent to treasury and ecosystem, 20 percent to the team, and 20 percent to investors under multi-year lockups. Nexus provides cryptographically verifiable infrastructure for financial markets, AI applications, and machine-to-machine systems that require proof of computational correctness.
