About Plume
Plume is an EVM-compatible modular Layer 2 blockchain built on the Arbitrum Orbit stack. It is designed for tokenizing, issuing, and trading real-world assets like treasuries, private credit, and commodities within a single compliance-aware environment. The network uses Celestia Blobstream for data availability and runs a standard EVM execution environment. Some materials also describe it as a full-stack RWA chain. Plume's mainnet and native token launched in 2025, alongside a token generation event. The native token, PLUME, is the gas token for transaction fees, is used for staking to secure the network and earn validator rewards, and gives holders voting rights over protocol parameters and treasury allocations. The protocol's infrastructure stack includes an issuance engine, compliance-aware accounts, and a data layer. These components enable DeFi integrations such as secondary trading, borrowing, lending, and yield generation on tokenized real-world assets. ## Token supply and distribution PLUME has a fixed maximum supply of 10 billion tokens. Approximately 20 percent was circulating at the token generation event, with the remainder subject to vesting schedules running through 2028. Circulating supply is projected to reach roughly 6.3 to 6.4 billion tokens by mid- to late-2026. Plume positions itself as a dedicated settlement and issuance layer for on-chain real-world assets within the broader Ethereum ecosystem.
