About 0G
0G (Zero Gravity) is a decentralized AI operating system and Layer-1 blockchain designed as modular infrastructure for on-chain AI applications and decentralized AI dapps. It provides a dedicated data-availability layer and decentralized storage layer, allowing AI workloads to run on transparent, verifiable blockchain infrastructure instead of centralized systems. The project was developed by 0G Labs, a San Francisco-based Web3 modular infrastructure company active by 2024. The network's token generation event took place on 18 September 2025, with exchange listings following shortly after. ## Architecture 0G is a modular AI Layer-1 chain. Its data-availability component uses data-block sampling to confirm availability, while the storage layer handles fast, decentralized data retrieval and persistence for AI workloads. ## Token The native token, 0G, is the network's gas token, used for paying transaction and network fees. It is also used for staking, participation incentives, and AI alignment node rewards. The initial total supply is fixed at 1 billion 0G tokens, with approximately 21 percent in circulation as of 2026. The protocol includes an ongoing inflationary issuance model estimated at around 3.5 percent annually.
