Missing figures stay unavailable. Forward P/E requires a dated source. Annual revenue, revenue growth, net income and margin come from each company's own 10-K, in US dollars, and each row shows that fiscal year. Revenue growth compares the fiscal year with the prior year stated in the same 10-K. Net income is the full year amount attributable to the company, or available to common stockholders where the filing states only that, or consolidated net income. Each row names its basis. Trailing P/E reads "Not meaningful" when the dated trailing diluted EPS is a loss or zero. An operating margin appears only when the filing states both the operating income and the revenue for the same year.
Sources: SEC filings, Gloria daily closes and CoinGecko. Oldest record refresh: Oct 27, 2026, 8:48 PM EDT. Refresh is not a price or filing date. Each row shows its price date and its annual fiscal period. Peers use industry code and company size, or editorial selection. Market cap multiplies that row price by the company share total the latest SEC filing states for every share class together. Trailing P/E divides it by trailing diluted earnings from SEC filings. Rolled earnings per share are approximate because share counts can change between periods. Both appear only when the SEC data carries its date, so they are estimates at one price date, not synchronized filing valuations. Not investment advice.

Meta is bringing its newest AI models to the lab. The company has announced support for research at five US universities, offering model access, direct collaboration with its own researchers and, for select projects, funding.
The roster is California Institute of Technology, The Ohio State University College of Medicine, Louisiana State University, Indiana University and UTHealth Houston. The focus, according to Meta, is advancing science and medicine.
What the universities are actually getting
This is not one uniform grant program. Meta says the form of support varies by institution and by project.
The menu has three items. The first is access to Meta’s latest AI models and technologies. The second is hands-on collaboration with Meta researchers. The third is research funding, which goes only to select projects.
The models on offer come from Meta’s Muse family. Researchers will work with Muse Spark Open, which Meta calls its most capable open-weight model. They will also have the Muse Wonder and Muse Spark model series.
Rounding out the lineup is Muse Glimmer, a 30B open-weight model. Meta says it can run on a single consumer GPU.
That last detail matters more than it sounds. The “30B” refers to 30 billion parameters, the internal settings a model adjusts as it learns. A model that size running on one consumer graphics card means a researcher does not need a data center to experiment with it.
“Open-weight” is the other phrase worth unpacking. It means Meta publishes the trained model’s parameters so outside users can download, run and modify it themselves. For academic researchers, that offers a level of control that API-only access does not.
The infrastructure behind the models
The announcement, made in October 2026, lands alongside a bigger buildout of Meta’s AI operation. The Muse Wonder models were developed on Prometheus, Meta’s supercluster in New Albany, Ohio.
AI, tech, and the markets they move—in one daily briefing.
Daily. Free. Join 34,000+ readers across crypto, finance, and policy.
Prometheus began operations in October 2026 and comprises hundreds of thousands of GPUs. It is designed to train advanced, frontier-level models.
There is a geographic footnote too. Ohio hosts both the supercluster and one of the five partner institutions, Ohio State’s College of Medicine.
Why medicine keeps showing up
Two of the five partners are medical institutions: Ohio State’s College of Medicine and UTHealth Houston. That tilt toward health is deliberate.
According to the research summary, Meta’s emphasis on health-related AI reflects a strategic aim to position itself as a leader in real-world scientific applications, particularly health data science. The company has already recorded significant research output in that area.
Background: Meta’s open-weight bet
Meta has leaned on open-weight releases as a core part of its AI strategy. The approach allows wider access for researchers and developers than closed, subscription-style models do.
The university program extends that logic. Releasing a model publicly is one thing. Pairing it with Meta researchers and money for specific projects is a more involved form of engagement.
It is also a competitive move. The research summary places the initiative within Meta’s rivalry with OpenAI and Anthropic, two labs that have built much of their business around closed models.
What this means for Meta and its rivals
The most direct payoff for Meta may be people. The research summary notes the initiative could bolster Meta’s talent pipeline. Graduate students who spend years building on Muse models may arrive in the job market already fluent in Meta’s tooling.
The second payoff is feedback. Academic users could help Meta fine-tune its models by showing where they break down in demanding scientific work.
The third is stickiness. The summary describes this as facilitating long-term engagement between the scientific community and Meta’s technology.
Meta has not said how much funding is involved or which projects qualify, so the scale of the financial commitment remains unclear. The summary suggests these partnerships may strengthen Meta’s position against OpenAI and Anthropic and could translate into broader applications in health data science.
