It was the German organization’s first map win against Spirit across all of 2026, a drought that had stretched across two separate tournaments and four consecutive maps.

For context on how lopsided this rivalry had become: Spirit swept MOUZ 2-0 at both PGL Astana 2026 in May and IEM Rio 2026 in April. MOUZ hadn’t taken a single map off Spirit’s roster, which features standout players like donk and sh1ro, in any of those encounters.

The best-of-5 LAN series format at BLAST Bounty Season 2 Finals gave MOUZ more runway than they’d had in previous meetings, where best-of-3 formats meant a 2-0 sweep ended things quickly.
