Multiverse raises $570M total funding as valuation climbs to $2.1B on AI training demand
The London-based EdTech company secured $70 million led by Schroders Capital, pushing its cumulative fundraising to roughly $570 million since 2016.
Multiverse, the apprenticeship and AI training platform founded by Euan Blair, just closed a $70 million funding round that values the company at $2.1 billion. That’s a meaningful jump from its $1.7 billion valuation after a $220 million Series D in 2022, and it brings total capital raised since the company’s 2016 founding to approximately $570 million.
Schroders Capital led the round, which was announced on May 15.
The numbers behind the raise
Multiverse has posted 50% year-over-year revenue growth for three consecutive years. Multiverse hit its first cash-positive quarter in Q1 2026.
The client roster includes Microsoft, Mars, and the John Lewis Partnership. Every Multiverse employee received equity as part of this funding round.
From apprenticeships to AI bootcamp
Multiverse started life as a platform connecting employers with tech apprenticeships. Blair founded the company in 2016 with a thesis that apprenticeships could compete with four-year degrees as a pathway into tech careers. The company expanded from London to the US, establishing a co-headquarters in New York. A $130 million Series C in 2021 valued the business at $875 million, and the $220 million Series D the following year pushed it past the billion-dollar mark.
Multiverse has since pivoted to emphasize AI training, addressing growing demand from large enterprises for workforce upskilling across functions beyond junior development roles.
Multiverse’s plans for geographical expansion and service enhancement suggest the $70 million won’t sit idle for long, with the company focused on expanding AI and tech adoption training across Europe.
