Nexo strengthens European operations with MiCA-licensed partners
The move reinforces Europe as a core market in its global strategy.
Nexo has completed preparations for the European Union’s Markets in Crypto-Assets (MiCA) regime, reaffirming compliance across the European Economic Area through partnerships with two MiCA-licensed firms, including Tangany and DLT Finance, the company said Tuesday.
According to Nexo Chief Product Officer Yasen Yankov, the company had spent years preparing for MiCA’s rollout and selected DLT Finance and Tangany as partners because of their regulatory credentials, technical sophistication and alignment with Nexo’s standards for protecting clients.
Under the arrangement, Tangany will deliver institutional custody services, while DLT Finance will provide brokerage infrastructure for crypto assets and financial instruments.
Nexo said the model combines its global wealth platform with regulated European infrastructure to deliver custody and trading services under the bloc’s new regulatory standards.
“Europe is where Nexo was built, and it remains central to our global strategy. We’re proud to have partners who can contribute to our ambitions here. Now, at the end of a robust testing phase, all Nexo services are provided in the usual way with no disruptions,” Yankov stated.
“This partnership is a strong signal of what’s possible in the post-MiCAR landscape with the right partners and institutional-grade custody infrastructure. What our three teams achieved together despite the project’s complexity sets a blueprint for institutions navigating the European market,” Martin Kreitmair, CEO of Tangany, commented.
“The strongest digital asset platforms are built on infrastructure that clients do not have to think about, it simply works. Our role is to support Nexo with the financial market infrastructure and execution capabilities needed to deliver a seamless user experience across multiple products,” Alan Kennedy, Senior Partnerships Manager at DLT Finance, noted.
