OpenAI acquires presentation startup NextSlide
The company began a little over a year ago around the idea that bringing an idea to life should not depend on a person's design skills.
Presentation startup NextSlide has joined OpenAI, where its team will work on building ChatGPT, founder Ahmed Beshry announced.
Founded just over a year ago, NextSlide seeks to remove the need for extensive design skills or hours of manual work by using AI to transform prompts, notes, documents and research into polished, editable presentations.
Beshry, who also co-founded Caper, a Y Combinator-backed retail-tech company, said the startup was focused not only on speeding up slide creation but also on making visual communications more accessible. At OpenAI, the NextSlide team will continue that mission by working on AI products designed to help people create, communicate and turn ideas into meaningful work.
