OpenAI deployment arm to buy Northslope in latest enterprise push: Report
The deal would add Palantir-focused AI specialists to OpenAI's newly launched DeployCo, which already has over $4 billion in backing from TPG, Goldman Sachs, and SoftBank.
OpenAI has agreed to acquire applied AI company Northslope through its Deployment Company, expanding its enterprise AI services business, Axios reported.
The acquisition is the deployment unit’s second since its launch in May and will increase its network of engineers who help organizations build and deploy AI systems.
The deal reflects a growing industry emphasis on AI implementation rather than model performance alone, as technology companies seek to help enterprises integrate AI into their operations.
The strategy mirrors approaches used by consulting firms and companies like Palantir, while rival Anthropic is also investing in enterprise AI services to help businesses adopt generative AI.
