Phantom has announced it will stop supporting the Monad network on Aug. 26 and plans to notify Monad users through in-app messages in the lead-up to the change. Those notifications will include links to support documentation describing available asset migration and swap options.

Phantom plans to end its support for Monad network on August 26th.

According to Phantom, the transition will not affect ownership of user funds, with all Monad assets remaining accessible. Users can import their Recovery Phrase into any compatible Monad wallet, even after support ends, or swap MON for wrapped MON on Solana directly within Phantom.

Monad is an Ethereum-compatible layer 1 blockchain built to deliver high throughput and faster transaction finality than traditional EVM networks.

Supported by the Monad Foundation for ecosystem growth and governance, the project aims to address the blockchain trilemma by combining scalability, security and decentralization for use cases such as DeFi, payments and tokenization. Monad launched its public mainnet in November 2025.
