Pluto Security raises $42 million to monitor enterprise AI tools
The startup says it has more than 30 enterprise customers and exceeded $2 million in annual recurring revenue after launching sales in April.
Pluto Security emerged from stealth with about $42 million in funding to develop tools that monitor and control employees’ use of AI applications and agents, TechCrunch reported.
The funding includes an $8.5 million seed round led by TLV Partners and a $34 million Series A led by Jump Capital. Skinos, Ansa Capital and angel investors participated in the Series A, while Armis’ founders backed the seed round.
CEO and co-founder Shahar Bahat said Pluto began selling in April and has surpassed $2 million in annual recurring revenue. The company has more than 30 enterprise customers, including Oscar Health, Workato, Sixt and AlphaSense, she told TechCrunch.
Bahat said about 60% of the risks Pluto detects across its customers involve AI-built tools created by people who are not developers. Finance teams account for the largest share, followed by marketing and legal, with developers fourth, she said.
Pluto says its software monitors AI applications, agents and associated skills, extensions and MCP servers. It connects to endpoint security and device management systems and can deploy sensors to assess prompts, commands, processes and permissions.

Bahat said the product can intervene during an agent session, including stopping attempts to obtain unintended permissions or prompting the agent to seek confirmation.
The company launched Plutonium in April, a free service for checking publicly available AI skills, connectors and add-ons, with an MCP scanner and component catalog. Bahat said inbound interest now generates 70% of Pluto’s sales pipeline.
Pluto plans to use the funding for product development, security research and US expansion. It has 40 employees in the United States and Israel.
