Ripple becomes fully MiCA-compliant after Luxembourg regulator approval
The approval combines with Ripple's existing electronic money license to create a full-stack regulatory framework for crypto payments across the European Economic Area
Ripple has received final authorization for its Crypto Asset Service Provider (CASP) license from Luxembourg’s Commission de Surveillance du Secteur Financier (CSSF), completing the requirements needed to operate under the EU’s Markets in Crypto-Assets Regulation (MiCA), according to a Monday press release.
The approval, which follows preliminary authorization in June 2026, confirms Ripple’s full MiCA compliance and enables it to offer its regulated end-to-end crypto payments solution to financial institutions, corporates and businesses across all 30 countries in the European Economic Area.
Combined with its EU Electronic Money Institution (EMI) license, the CASP status places Ripple among a select group of digital asset firms with full MiCA approval and expands its global portfolio to more than 75 regulatory licenses.
