$1.1 trillion asset manager Schroders launches tokenized bond fund on Solana
The fund, launched through Centrifuge, marks Schroders' first deployment on Solana as institutional tokenization expands beyond stocks and Treasury products.
Schroders, the global asset manager overseeing approximately $1.1 trillion, has launched a tokenized emerging markets bond fund on Solana through Centrifuge, marking its first deployment on the blockchain.
The launch introduces the Schroder International Selection Fund Emerging Market Bond strategy, known as SISF, providing onchain exposure to sovereign and corporate debt across emerging markets.
Investors hold tokenized shares in a feeder fund that invests in Schroders’ underlying bond strategy rather than directly owning the bonds. The structure extends blockchain based investment products beyond tokenized Treasuries and money market funds.
Schroders has managed emerging markets debt for more than 50 years, with over 40 investment professionals specializing in sovereign, corporate and local currency strategies.

“Emerging markets debt introduces a fundamentally different source of risk and return,” said Anil Sood, chief strategy and growth officer at Centrifuge, noting that onchain fixed income has largely focused on cash and short duration government securities.
The launch adds to growing institutional interest in tokenized financial assets, including stocks. Earlier this week, the New York Stock Exchange announced agreements with Broadridge, Computershare, Equiniti and Superstate to support its planned tokenized securities platform, joining existing partners Securitize and tZERO.
Schroders’ fund initially operates on Solana, which hosts more than $4 billion in tokenized real world assets, according to Centrifuge. The platform aims to make institutional investment strategies accessible through blockchain infrastructure for financial applications, collateral and fund distribution.
