Solana ecosystem faces major token unlocks in October 2026
DoubleZero, Official Trump, Pump.fun and deBridge release new supply while Sanctum moves to burn a quarter of its tokens
October is shaping up to be a busy month for anyone holding tokens in the Solana ecosystem. Several projects are scheduled to release large batches of previously locked supply into the market.
The headliner is DoubleZero. Its 1.78 billion $2Z tokens begin unlocking on October 2, valued at around $113 million. Meanwhile, one project is heading the other way: Sanctum plans to permanently destroy a quarter of its supply.
Who is unlocking what
DoubleZero’s release is the largest event on the calendar. The 1.78 billion $2Z tokens represent approximately 34.78% of the circulating supply. The timing coincides with the expiration of a 12-month vesting cliff.
Official Trump ($TRUMP) is next in size. The memecoin will release 28.02 million tokens during October, worth about $60.8 million.
Pump.fun ($PUMP) has a bigger token count but a smaller dollar figure. Its linear vesting schedule will unlock 7 billion tokens this month, estimated at $40.25 million.
deBridge ($DBR) rounds out the list. It is set to release 618.33 million tokens on October 17, equal to roughly 10.42% of its circulating supply and valued near $12.5 million.

Sanctum takes the opposite approach
While four projects add supply, Sanctum is subtracting it. On October 6, the liquid staking project plans to burn 259 million SANC tokens.
The burn amounts to 25% of Sanctum’s total supply. Once complete, the total should drop to approximately 741 million.
This was not a unilateral call by the team. Token holders approved the burn through a governance vote held on September 19, 2026.
The stated purpose is cleanup. The burn aims to remove excess supply that had built up in an underused community reserve.
What this means for traders and holders
Early recipients of $2Z include institutional stakeholders such as Jump Crypto and Malbec Labs. These holders might consider selling to realize gains, which could add market pressure.
For traders, the calendar itself is the key tool. October 2 kicks off the $2Z unlock, October 6 brings the Sanctum burn, and October 17 marks the deBridge release.
