Solari Capital emerges from stealth with $350M deployed across AI, biotech, and crypto
AJ Scaramucci's venture firm bets that computational power will reprogram everything from finance to biology, with a $220M Bitcoin mining deal as its centerpiece.
A venture firm that has been quietly writing checks for years just pulled back the curtain. Solari Capital, founded by AJ Scaramucci, revealed today that it has deployed roughly $350 million across early-stage investments, late-stage growth rounds, and in-house incubations, all organized around a thesis the firm calls “programmable reality.”
Scaramucci’s argument is that exponentially growing computational power is making it possible to engineer and reprogram entire domains: biology, intelligence, physical matter, and finance. Each of those four categories maps to a distinct investment track inside Solari’s portfolio.
The portfolio breakdown
The programmable intelligence track features positions in advanced AI and foundation model companies, including xAI and Suno.
Programmable biology includes gene therapy and longevity-focused companies such as Tessera Therapeutics, a firm working on gene writing technology.
The programmable matter category covers space, energy, and robotics. Varda Space, which manufactures products in microgravity, sits in this bucket.
Programmable finance encompasses blockchain infrastructure and DeFi projects, with portfolio companies including Genius Terminal and Architect Financial.

The American Bitcoin bet
The firm led a $220 million funding round in American Bitcoin in July 2025, committing more than $100 million of its own capital to the deal. That represents nearly a third of Solari’s total deployed capital going into one Bitcoin mining company.
American Bitcoin has ties to the Trump family, though Scaramucci backed a Bitcoin miner years before the venture became associated with the Trump orbit.
Collectibles as an asset class
Scaramucci has also quietly assembled a collection of comics, trading cards, and dinosaur bones, items he argues belong in asset classes comparable to gold and Bitcoin.
What this means for crypto and venture capital
Solari’s emergence is backed by endorsements from Ron Conway, Jim Breyer, and Eric Schmidt.
Genius Terminal and Architect Financial are building financial plumbing, not consumer-facing apps, which suggests Solari is positioning for a future where DeFi protocols serve as back-end rails for mainstream financial products.
