Players donk and magixx pulled off an improbable round win against BetBoom Team, turning a 2v4 deficit into one of the tournament's defining moments
Two players. Four opponents. One round that nobody expected Team Spirit to win.
At the IEM Cologne Major 2026, Team Spirit’s donk and magixx found themselves staring down a 2v4 disadvantage against BetBoom Team on June 6. They won it anyway.
How the clutch unfolded
The two players managed to eliminate all four remaining members of BetBoom Team to secure the round.
The victory came during Stage 2 of the tournament’s Swiss group format, a system where teams need to accumulate wins to advance while losses push them closer to elimination.
Team Spirit’s rise in competitive CS2
Team Spirit is a European esports organization founded in 2015 and headquartered in Belgrade, Serbia. While the org competes across multiple titles, their CS2 roster has become one of the most watched lineups in the professional scene.
