Trade.xyz restores GitBook docs after unauthorized activity, warns users off links
The Hyperliquid-based trading interface says funds, trading, and on-chain settlement were not affected while it investigates
Trade.xyz spent part of November 2, 2026 cleaning up something no trading platform wants: unauthorized activity on its own documentation.
The company says it restored its GitBook docs by 9:15 AM ET. It is now asking users not to click any links in that documentation while an internal investigation continues.
What happened at Trade.xyz
According to Trade.xyz, the unauthorized activity was spotted early that morning. The team then rolled the GitBook documentation back to its prior state.
GitBook is a hosted platform many crypto projects use for public docs. These are the pages that explain how a product works, how to connect, and where to go next.
The company has not described what the unauthorized activity involved. It also has not said how access was gained, or how long any changes stayed live before the restore.
Trade.xyz stated that user funds, the trading platform, and on-chain settlement were not affected. Trading continues as normal, the company said, with all trades still settling on Hyperliquid. There have been no reports of wallet drains or compromised funds tied to the incident.
The link advisory stands out as the most practical detail. Even with the docs restored, Trade.xyz is telling users to avoid clicking links in them until the review is finished.

Who Trade.xyz is
Trade.xyz runs a non-custodial interface for HIP-3 perpetual markets on Hyperliquid. Non-custodial means the platform does not hold user assets on their behalf.
The platform launched its first HIP-3 perpetual market on October 13, 2025. It quickly became the leading venue for those markets on Hyperliquid.
The volume tells the story. Trade.xyz handled $59.38 billion in September 2026.
The non-custodial setup also helps explain the company’s confidence about funds. Because trades settle on Hyperliquid rather than inside a Trade.xyz-controlled vault, a problem on a docs site is a separate layer from where assets actually move.
What this means for users and the Hyperliquid ecosystem
For traders, the immediate action is simple. Follow the advisory and avoid clicking links in the Trade.xyz documentation until the company says the investigation is complete.
Users who interacted with the docs on November 2 may want to stay alert. Trade.xyz has not reported any user losses, but caution costs nothing while the review is ongoing.
Key open questions remain. Users will want to know what the unauthorized activity actually was, how it happened, and what controls are being added to stop a repeat.
