Trust Wallet integrates MoonPay Trade for cross-chain trading
The integration brings non-custodial swaps across seven blockchains to Trust Wallet's self-custody users, building on a partnership that started in 2020.
Trust Wallet users can now execute cross-chain trades directly inside the app, thanks to a new integration with MoonPay Trade that went live on September 24. The feature enables non-custodial swaps across multiple blockchains without funds ever touching an intermediary, a meaningful upgrade from the fiat on-ramp services MoonPay previously provided within the wallet.
MoonPay Trade launched on May 21 as a cross-chain execution platform, built partly on technology acquired from Decent.xyz. The platform functions as a single API capable of routing transactions across more than 200 blockchain protocols and chains. The Trust Wallet integration doesn’t ship with all 200-plus chains out of the gate, though. At launch, seven blockchains are supported, including heavyweights like Ethereum and Bitcoin alongside newer networks such as Base and Arc.
The non-custodial piece matters here. Users review swap routes and sign transactions directly within Trust Wallet, meaning their crypto never passes through MoonPay’s hands. MoonPay Trade also promises deeper liquidity pools and faster settlement times compared to what Trust Wallet users had access to before.
MoonPay and Trust Wallet first began working together in 2020, when MoonPay provided fiat on-ramp and off-ramp services that let Trust Wallet users buy crypto with traditional payment methods. That relationship expanded in 2023, and eventually the two companies formalized a multi-year strategic partnership on August 14, 2025. The August 2025 deal specifically shifted the focus from fiat services to trading and swaps.

Trust Wallet isn’t MoonPay Trade’s first wallet integration, either. A similar deal with Ledger launched in June, meaning MoonPay is methodically embedding its trading infrastructure into the places where self-custody users already spend their time.
MoonPay Trade’s approach of abstracting cross-chain complexity behind a single execution layer is part of a broader industry trend toward chain abstraction. The difference here is that MoonPay is packaging that abstraction as an embeddable service for wallet providers rather than building a consumer-facing product.
With seven chains supported at launch and infrastructure capable of handling over 200, the obvious next question is how quickly MoonPay and Trust Wallet expand coverage.
