Unagi puts Persona Journey and Ultimate Champions up for sale in court-ordered liquidation
The French web3 studio's IP, a 957-NFT treasury, and the UNA token contracts are all on the block, with offers due November 2
Unagi, the French gaming and entertainment studio behind Persona Journey and Ultimate Champions, has entered court-ordered liquidation. The process took effect October 16, 2026.
A court-appointed liquidator now runs a formal sale of the company’s assets, and bidders have until November 2, 2026 to submit offers.
What’s on the auction block
The inventory reads like a full studio’s life’s work, broken into lots. At the top sits the complete intellectual property of Persona Journey.
That package covers the project’s artwork, manga, smart contracts, and creator rights. It also includes a treasury of 957 Persona NFTs.
The UNA token contracts are part of the sale too. UNA is the ecosystem token that replaced Unagi’s earlier CHAMP token in January 2024.
Then there is the gaming side. Ultimate Champions, the fantasy sports game, is up for sale alongside a white-label fantasy platform that other operators could rebrand as their own.
Unagi’s unreleased prediction game, Fantasy Brainz, is also included. So is a set of AI tools and Records AI, a platform built to help users generate content.
Buyers do not have to take everything. A data room with documentation in English and French is open to qualified bidders who sign confidentiality agreements, and the assets can be acquired separately.

From sold-out mint to liquidator’s inventory
Persona Journey once ranked among the brighter launches in a choppy NFT market. The collection of 8,888 avatars debuted in February 2024 and sold out for approximately 1,842 ETH, worth about $5 million at the time.
Secondary trading went further. The collection has exceeded 10,500 ETH in resale volume, more than five times what the primary mint brought in.
Ultimate Champions has a longer history. The free-to-play game launched around 2022 and uses licensed digital trading cards on blockchain networks for fantasy football and basketball.
Records AI was the newest bet. It launched in March 2026 with partnerships involving Pudgy Penguins, Doodles, Moonbirds, and Claynosaurz.
Seven months later, it is listed for sale.
What this means for holders and bidders
No commitment has been made to keep the games or platforms running once the assets change hands.
The 957-NFT treasury adds a separate wrinkle for Persona holders. Whoever acquires it will control a meaningful slice of the collection’s supply, which could shape secondary market dynamics depending on whether the new owner holds, distributes, or sells those pieces.
Any buyer of Ultimate Champions will need to work out how existing licensing deals carry over, which is the kind of detail that tends to sit in a data room behind a confidentiality agreement.
The answer should start to arrive after November 2, when the liquidator reviews what the market is willing to pay.
