Without a Roof roster featuring Stewie2K signs up for BLAST Open Fall qualifier
The Cloud9 Boston Major reunion squad, now playing under Without a Roof, has entered the BLAST Open Fall NA Open Qualifier with Stewie2K, autimatic, and Skadoodle headlining the lineup
Sometimes the best storylines in esports are the ones nobody planned. Without a Roof, a North American CS2 squad built around three players who shared one of the most iconic moments in the region’s competitive history, has officially registered for the BLAST Open Fall NA Open Qualifier #1.
The registration was confirmed on June 24, 2026, and the roster reads like a reunion tour most NA fans stopped expecting.
The band is back together
The Without a Roof lineup features Jake “Stewie2K” Yip, Timothy “autimatic” Ta, and Tyler “Skadoodle” Latham, rounded out by FaNg and steel.
Those first three names will mean something specific to anyone who followed Counter-Strike closely in 2018. Stewie2K, autimatic, and Skadoodle were all part of the Cloud9 roster that won the ELEAGUE Boston 2018 Major, making Cloud9 the first and, to date, only North American team to win a CS Major.
The group reportedly began scrimming together around May 12, 2026, meaning they have had roughly six weeks of practice before stepping into qualifier play.
What the BLAST Open Fall qualifier means
The BLAST Open Fall is one of the marquee events on the CS2 calendar, and the NA Open Qualifier is the first gate any team without a direct invite needs to clear.
Open qualifiers are, by design, brutal. The field is open to any registered team, which means the competition ranges from established rosters on the bubble to newly formed squads still finding their footing.
Steel is a veteran in his own right, known as much for his strategic and in-game leadership qualities as for his time at the top of the North American scene. FaNg represents the younger end of the roster and brings a level of raw mechanical ability that complements the experience around him.
