X to add crypto trade buttons, former product chief Nikita Bier says

X will soon introduce crypto trade buttons, former product chief Nikita Bier revealed in a statement. He said the upcoming feature builds on Cashtags, which already surface real-time price charts and asset data for stocks and crypto directly in posts.
The trade buttons may let users execute trades through partner brokers or exchanges without leaving X’s timeline.
Bier, who disclosed holdings in Bitcoin, gold, and commodities, said X had no crypto-specific features before he joined. He also dismissed claims that X’s product or moderation changes helped fuel the latest crypto rally, instead pointing to Treasury bond buybacks and dollar debasement.
