XRP whale inflows to Binance hit a seven-month high

CryptoQuant data shows large holders moved approximately 1.669 billion XRP to Binance as the token slid toward $1.31 and ETF inflows kept coming

XRP’s biggest holders are heading to the exchange again. According to on-chain data from CryptoQuant, 30-day whale inflows of XRP to Binance reached 1.669 billion tokens as of mid-October 2026.

That is the highest reading in seven months. It also arrives while the token is having a rough week, which tends to make traders a little jumpy.

What the data shows

CryptoQuant tracks how much XRP moves from large wallets onto Binance, the world’s biggest crypto exchange by trading activity. Over the trailing 30-day window, that figure climbed to approximately 1.669 billion XRP.

This is not the first spike this autumn. In mid-September 2026, whale inflows to Binance peaked at around 1.6 billion XRP, which at the time marked a six-month high.

Price action has not been kind in the meantime. XRP was trading around $1.31 on October 15, 2026, down approximately 5% over the preceding 24 hours.

Deposits are not the same as dumps

The instinctive read on whale exchange inflows is bearish. Coins moving onto an exchange are coins that could be sold, and a lot of coins could mean a lot of selling.

That interpretation is reasonable but incomplete. Exchange deposits can also reflect wallet reallocations, liquidity management, collateral for derivatives positions, or other trading strategies among large holders.

What the inflows do reliably indicate is a rise in available liquidity on the exchange. More XRP sitting on Binance means more supply that can move quickly if conditions change, in either direction.

The ETF bid hasn’t gone anywhere

While whales are moving coins to Binance, US spot XRP ETFs have been steadily absorbing demand. Those funds reported cumulative net inflows of $1.8 billion over 13 consecutive weeks through mid-October 2026. That is more than three months without a single week of net outflows.

Recent daily inflow into XRP ETFs was approximately $740,000 on October 14, 2026, a modest figure compared to the cumulative total.

What this means for XRP holders

For traders, the near-term question is whether the 1.669 billion XRP sitting in fresh exchange deposits becomes sell-side supply. The counterweight is the ETF channel. Thirteen straight weeks of net inflows totaling $1.8 billion represents persistent demand that has so far held up through choppy conditions.

The daily ETF figures also deserve attention. The roughly $740,000 recorded on October 14 is far below what the cumulative total implies on average, and a turn to net outflows would break a streak that has supported the bullish case.

It is also worth comparing the September and October spikes. The September peak near 1.6 billion XRP did not, on its own, settle the token’s direction, which suggests caution before reading too much into the latest one.
