The Binance NFT marketplace plans to discontinue support for the Polygon Network on September 26. After this date, users will no longer be able to buy, list, or sell NFTs from Polygon, according to today’s announcement from Binance.

Binance NFT initially integrated support for Polygon in March of this year. At that time, Polygon became the third network to be supported on the Binance NFT marketplace, joining Ethereum, and Binance Smart Chain.

Users will need to withdraw their Polygon NFTs from Binance NFT by the end of the year.

The NFT marketplace will also be ending support for its Sandbox NFT staking program. Sandbox LAND NFTs will be automatically unstaked by the end of this month.

Binance commented on the decision, stating:

“This decision was made after careful consideration and evaluation, and it is part of our ongoing efforts to streamline product offerings on Binance NFT Marketplace.”

Polygon’s native token, MATIC, has dropped 2.2% in the last 24 hours, according to CoinGecko.
