Coach Score locks in four-year extension with KT Rolster as esports orgs bet big on long-term deals

The former Gen.G coach's commitment through 2029 mirrors a broader trend in Korean esports toward stability, one that crypto-backed teams have struggled to replicate.

Go Dong-bin, better known as Score, has extended his contract with KT Rolster through 2029. The deal cements one of Korea’s most accomplished coaching figures at the helm of one of its most storied organizations for the foreseeable future.

Score originally joined KT Rolster as head coach in November 2024, brought in to steady the ship ahead of the 2025 LCK season. Before that, he built his coaching reputation at Gen.G, where he collected championship titles and widespread acclaim.

The extension through 2029 puts him in rarefied company. Faker, the most recognizable name in competitive League of Legends, signed his own contract extension with T1 through 2029 in July 2025.

KT Rolster has also renewed contracts for coaching staff members Museong and S0NSTAR, building out a stable infrastructure around Score’s leadership. The current roster features players like PerfecT, Cuzz, Bdd, and Aiming.

KT Rolster’s approach is grounded in traditional corporate backing. The organization has been around since 1999, backed by Korea Telecom, one of South Korea’s largest telecommunications companies. There are no token launches, no NFT partnerships, no Web3 pivot in the press release.
