FaZe Clan has made it official: French rifler Ryan “Neityu” Aubry and JBOEN are now permanent members of the organization’s Counter-Strike 2 roster. The signings cap off a turbulent stretch for one of esports’ most recognizable brands, which has been scrambling to find its footing after losing legendary in-game leader Finn “karrigan” Andersen to Falcons earlier in 2026.

Neityu’s addition is less of a surprise than a formality. The former ENCE player initially joined FaZe as a stand-in on April 29, making his debut at the BLAST Rivals Fort Worth event. Evidently, the trial period went well enough to earn him a permanent spot.

Filling the karrigan-shaped hole

FaZe has struggled to qualify for major tournaments since karrigan’s departure, a sentence that would have sounded absurd during his tenure. The current CS2 lineup now features Twistzz, frozen, broky, jcobbb, Neityu, and JBOEN.

Neityu brings experience from his time at ENCE, where he operated as a rifler in the European CS2 circuit. His transition to FaZe’s system, even as a stand-in, gave the team time to evaluate how he fits alongside the existing core.

JBOEN is the more mysterious addition. Details about his competitive background and prior team affiliations are thin. The esports community has generally positioned him as a high-upside player, though specific details about his prior experience remain limited.
