Flowdesk secures full VARA license to offer crypto broker dealer services in Dubai

Flowdesk Omega FZE can now provide regulated virtual asset broker dealer services to qualified and institutional investors in and from Dubai.

Flowdesk has received a full license from Dubai’s Virtual Assets Regulatory Authority to provide regulated broker dealer services through its local entity, Flowdesk Omega FZE.

The license allows the crypto liquidity provider and trading technology firm to offer virtual asset broker dealer services to qualified and institutional investors in and from Dubai.

The approval follows an In Principle Approval granted to Flowdesk in June 2026 and completes VARA’s multistage licensing process.

Flowdesk co founder and CEO Guilhem Chaumont said the license reflects the company’s work across governance, compliance, risk management and institutional market infrastructure.

He added that the UAE has become an important market for Flowdesk as the company expands its regulated operations serving institutional and qualified clients.

Flowdesk operates an office in Dubai and has more than 200 employees globally. The company provides liquidity services across more than 150 exchange venues and is backed by investors including BlackRock, Cathay Innovation and Coinbase Ventures.

The company also holds regulatory approval in Europe after receiving authorization as a Crypto Asset Service Provider from France’s Autorité des Marchés Financiers under the European Union’s MiCA framework.

The Dubai license gives Flowdesk regulated approvals in both Europe and the UAE as it continues serving institutions, exchanges and token issuers.
